Experience report from my own experiences: staff friendly, but completely overwhelmed and noticeably inexperienced in gastronomy. After four forks, let the salad plate you ordered go back into the kitchen, as the green salad was rotten through and through. What a shame!

Tarte flambée very tasty Grill plate not overloaded, delicious and tender meat, pepper sauce great. Salad buffet expandable, but fresh. Beers to our taste. Service ok too!

We found with deep disappointment that the HUNGARIAN RESTAURANT visited by Google is not really Hungarian. There are a few dishes called Hungarians on the menu, but they have nothing to do with Hungarians, the goulash is disgusting, greasy, incomplete with vegetables ... please the owner if you read. Please do NOT add Hungarian food to the menu if you are unable to prepare it normally. € 20 poorer, frustrated .. And I left the place even hungrier

It is one of the most beautiful places in Brüggen, near the watermill. But the terrace looked neglected, with dead plants and dirty windows. The staff are friendly, but the service is very slow. Unfortunately, the food didn't make it any better. It was not very special at best and quite tasteless. My fellow diners were so disappointed that they left a large portion of the main course. Apparently, some owners still feel that the location compensates for other things, such as the quality of the food. For us an experience that does not need to be repeated. And a kitchen should be so clean that rolls of flycatchers are not needed!

Undervalued ... definitely undervalued. Wonderful traditional restaurant in Brüggen. The staff is trained and the preparation of the dishes is done with a lot of love. More than you expected ... recommendation from the whole ❤️!

After a change of owner / tenant, the quality of this previously very good restaurant has simply deteriorated and we were disappointed overall. Prices are reasonable and ok, but the food wasn't particularly good and therefore not recommended. The next time we visit Brüggen we will look for something else. There is enough choice in Brüggen. It's a shame, we were looking forward to our visit here and are just disappointed.

Nice meal, nice terrace and friendly staff

If you are in the area anyway, you can get a good meal here with nice staff and atmosphere. I would eat here again anytime! And the homemade spritzers are very refreshing.

Today was schnitzel day, it tasted good. Our friend decided on the Sauerbraten and was also extremely satisfied. The young men who served us were particularly pleasant and attentive. We are happy to come back

Beautiful large shaded terrace. To cool things down a little, there are sprinklers hanging in the trees, you don't get wet from it, but it is very pleasant with that extremely warm weather. Also look around the corner, next to the building, to the watermill. Unfortunately no Leberkase on the menu, but on Thursday Schnitzeltag is here so the alternative choice is quickly made. Also ask (or look at the sign at the entrance) what else there is to eat, because in addition to the menu they also have various other dishes.

Super location, rustic and very cozy. Service very attentive and friendly. Food very good. Price performance ratio more than good! Good location, parking spaces available, directly in front of the restaurant, centrally located, idyllic beer garden on the water with a mill wheel. We recommend !

Delicious eaten. On a Friday evening in early August, not too busy and still a place on the terrace. This restaurant is located in the center and within walking distance of the camper place. The service is smooth and formal. The food is fine, schnitzel is recommended and the salad buffet is fresh and extensive. A freshly pulled beer finishes it off. Unbelievably so close to the Netherlands and then really abroad.

Nice ambience on the terrace against a historical backdrop. Very friendly service. Fresh and tasty products. Tarte flambé with goat cheese and homemade pesto is a great creation.

Schnitzel wasn't great. Should have ordered Hungarian - it looked amazing and likely would have given 4 stars. Had a very large group. Everyone enjoyed this place. Good food, good drinks and live music. I would definitely go back.

I used to recommend this restaurant to anyone until today, the waiter “guy” over there treating bad attitude, not welcoming at all, not obit this when we got the bill as a group of people he just collect the money and went away, me personally I suppose to get 10 Euro back and he didn’t give any attention and when we asked him there are money we should get back, he pretend that I didn’t count the money and it seems you need only 2 Euro, what the hell is that, you are loosing the credibility of the restaurant because of 10 Euro or even 20 Euro!!! It was the first time for my friends and they said we will not come here anymore due to that kind of attitude and stealing the money from the people. I hope the manager of the restaurant taking care of this review, if you want to meet with me and any of my friends you are welcomed, additionally I’ll keep giving an attention to anyone thinking to eat your restaurant.

This is a cosy restaurant in the Altstadt. The menu featured classic Hungarian dishes but the food we ordered was very similar to German food. The food and beer was great and the prices were reasonable.

The food is so amazingly good. Its a bit expensive but I love eating there. Also just sitting there with friends and drink a few beer is also very nice. The waitresses are very nice too. I feel always comfortable there!

What a symphony for the senses! The dishes like steak and schnitzel are not only very tasty, they are also prepared and presented with lots of love. This also applies to starters and desserts. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant as a whole makes a great impression. We will be back soon!

Very good restaurant. Typical Hungarian meals. Wonderful staff. If you want to be out of the crowded places in Dusseldorf and having a good meal then this is the place to be. Local and Hungarian food is served. 5 stars.

Super tasty goulash and beer

I went several times there with friends and it's a nice place. The restaurant is well decorated. They have great dishes. The waiters and waitresses are cool. I love their fresh orange-ginger tea with honey :).

One of the best alt biers in Düsseldorf

Stumbled in serendipitously by myself one Sunday evening and I'm so glad I did. Soft lighting, sophisticated and elegant inside, with great beer and food. I had the pork goulash; the meet was so tender. Loved it.

Very good value for money. Really friendly staff. Great atmosphere! One of my very favourites in Düsseldorf.
